Study Abroad Fairs

Thinking about studying abroad? Well, now's your chance to find out why Michigan State is a national leader in study abroad!

Study abroad fairs are comprehensive information fairs for students, faculty and staff interested in learning more about the many exciting study abroad opportunities available at MSU.

They are held twice a year, once each semester.

Fall 2008 Fair: The Union on the day of the Fair!
Thursday, September 25, 2008
Noon to 6:00 PM

MSU Union (2nd Floor)

Spring 2009 Fair:
Thursday, February 5, 2009

11:00 to 4:00 - MSU Union (2nd Floor)

Over 100 exhibits displaying information about MSU's more than 250 program will provide you with a one-stop shopping experience! Find out who is coming to the 2008 Fall Fair.

At a study abroad fair you can:

  • Talk with the program leaders about individual programs
  • Chat with students who have already participated
  • See amazing photos and artifacts from around the world Having fun at the fair!
  • Talk with academic advisers and representatives from the Office of Financial Aid
  • Check with the MSU Travel Clinic about health issues
  • Get your passport and photos**
  • As a returnee, you can find out how to continue your international experience

    Painting the RockThere's even more to see and do including a live broadcast from 97.5 WJIM from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, a raffle, photo and essay contest winners on display, and a visit from Sparty. Don't forget to pick up some free goodies from OSA, too!

**Passport application processing by the East Lansing Post Office will be available for students who come prepared with all necessary documents and payments. Visit U.S. Department of State - Passportsfor information on what materials are necessary for passport processing. In order to have your passport application processed by the Post Office, you must bring two checks - one for the Post Office handling fee; one for the passport application itself. Cash will not be accepted.

University Relations will also be on hand to take your passport photos from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm for $15.00. Checks (preferred) and cash will be accepted as payment - no credit cards.
